Senior Program Officer – Indiana

Yecenia Tostado joined the Trust in April 2023, bringing with her years of experience in nonprofit, education and workforce development. Prior to the Trust, Tostado was the first executive director of Project Azul, a nonprofit focused on workforce development for blue collar workers in Central Indiana. She also helped launch the Indy Achieves program, which is the City of Indianapolis’ effort to increase college credential attainment in Marion County. In addition, she was recognized as one of Indiana University’s College of Arts and Sciences 20 Under 40 in 2021, the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 in 2020 and Indy Eleven’s Campeones de la Comunidad in 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in psychology and Spanish and a master’s degree in public affairs from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI where she focused on policy analysis and urban sustainability. As a Trust senior program officer, Tostado is a key member of the Indiana grants team, serves as a representative of the Trust, fosters community partnerships, and identifies high impact giving opportunities in Marion County.
