Lisa Shover Kackley

Trustee

Lisa Shover Kackley was appointed trustee in December 2011. She is co-founder and vice president of K Group and has more than 35 years’ experience as a marketing executive and community leader. She founded a communications company, specializing in public relations with a focus on creating private, public and nonprofit partnerships. Shover Kackley was part of the Pulliam newspaper family and has worked closely with the Trust since its inception, managing communications and providing strategy prior to becoming a trustee. She earned a degree in journalism from the University of Arizona, which she attended on a Pulliam scholarship. Shover Kackley was born in Indianapolis and is a resident of Arizona. She is active in the greater Phoenix community, where she has raised more than $100 million for local nonprofit organizations. She has served on a broad range of nonprofit boards and foundations, including formerly serving as chair of the Arizona Humane Society. Shover Kackley lobbied animal welfare legislation for six years, resulting in the successful passage of bills providing supports and protections for Arizona’s companion animals. She is an avid horsewoman and shares Mrs. Pulliam’s love of all living creatures.
