Sojourner Center shelters more than 1,000 domestic violence victims a year

Sojourner Center provides shelter for more than 1,000 people experiencing domestic violence in Arizona each year.

Founded in 1977, the nonprofit has grown to be one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the southwest with 124 beds and 32 apartments, according to its website.
