25 years of helping people in need: De Colores Shelter

This year, the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust celebrates 25 years of community grantmaking in Arizona. To honor Mrs. Pulliam’s legacy, the Trust supports Chicanos Por La Causa’s De Colores Shelter help survivors of domestic violence start a life free of violence.

Since 1986, CPLC’s De Colores Shelter has been helping domestic violence survivors and their children find safety, regain strength, and discover resilience. The shelter was established as a culturally appropriate place for Spanish-speaking domestic violence survivors and their children. The agency provides case management, legal advocacy and youth programs to an average of 600 clients a year as they recover from abuse. Learn more about the De Colores Shelter at www.cplcdecolores.org.
