Kristina Perez

Director of Communications and External Relations

With over 18 years of experience in journalism, public relations, and marketing across both the private and public sectors, Kristina Perez joined the Trust in 2022, bringing an extensive track record in communications. Most recently, Perez led media relations, crisis communication, advertising strategy, and creative development for the City of Peoria, Arizona, including earning the city its first Emmy. Additionally, she taught digital media at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and her photography has been featured in a variety of online and printed publications.

At the Trust, Perez oversees all aspects of internal and external communications, including marketing, advertising, branding, media relations, and events. Perez holds professional certificates in nonprofit marketing and strategic communication from Arizona State University’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation, as well as in marketing from the University of California, Berkeley. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a Minor in Community Health Education from Northern Arizona University. Perez is based in the Trust’s Phoenix office and travels to Indianapolis on a regular basis.
