First Issue 2004

Our newsletter is appropriately named Connections. As the name implies, the newsletter is not only a way to demonstrate the connection between our grantmaking in Arizona and Indiana, but also a way to connect the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust with you. In the coming quarterly issues, we will have the opportunity to highlight our priority areas of giving, as well as illustrate each area through our grantees and the valuable contributions they are making.

We also want to reaffirm our commitment to be accessible to the grantseeking public. Our electronic newsletter utilizes the Internet and we encourage you to use the same tool for communicating with our staff. E-mails are always welcome and we pledge to respond in a timely manner. We also welcome direct conversation and view our grantmaking as a continuing dialogue with the nonprofit community. Unfortunately, time does not permit meeting with everyone face-to-face. To be fair and equitable, we have found phone conferences to be the best use of time for all parties. Whether you have specific questions, want to schedule a conference call or simply want to keep us informed about your programs, we encourage you to connect with us.

Since this is the first edition of Connections, we would like to introduce you to our dedicated staff that comprises the Nina Mason Pulliam Trust family. Some may be more familiar to you than others, but each is essential in helping improve the lives of people and supporting the causes Mrs. Pulliam loved in her home states of Indiana and Arizona.
