Grant distribution summary
In 2009 the Trust awarded $13,363,958 to 201 organizations in Arizona and Indiana with about 13 percent
being first-time grantees. Approximately 84 percent of the grant dollars went to help people in need. In 2010 there is a significant shift underway with the decision to focus on providing
support to seasoned nonprofits that excel at helping people in need, the Trust’s highest priority
of funding interest since it began making grants in 1998. The following chart illustrates the dollar distribution of our 2009 grant awards across the Trust's three funding categories.
